We're two researchers rooted in our local place of Sheffield, UK. Our practice experience spans community and academic research, international development, UK place-based practice research, and partnerships across the national charity sector at a variety of levels.
Dr Al Mathers
Founder and Co-Director
Al is a Founder and Co-Director of Wild Fig Research. With over 20 years' experience across academia, the charitable sector and practice, she helps organisations build participatory research capability and embed inclusive, community-led ways of working. She is passionate about place-based, evidence-driven social change.

Dr Bryony Vince-Myers
Founder and Co-Director
Bryony is a Founder and Co-Director of Wild Fig Research. She works with communities, universities and organisations to design and deliver participatory research that is community-led, strengthens relationships, and supports meaningful social change. She is passionate about creating the conditions for equitable participatory research and community-led change.
