Towards better workforce wellbeing across the VCFSE sector

Impact and evaluationIn partnership with Voluntary Action Sheffield (VAS)
We worked with Voluntary Action Sheffield (VAS) to synthesise three years of learning from their Worker Wellbeing Workstream – a city-wide programme designed to improve the wellbeing, skills and support available to frontline workers across Sheffield's voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector.
Our role was to connect insights that had previously sat across separate reports, survey datasets, project progress updates, and event notes, and to weave it into a single, coherent, and usable narrative.
Working together with VAS and other key stakeholders, we produced a report, accompanied by an accessible visual summary, examining the outcomes of the workstream, the structural and cultural barriers to accessing wellbeing support for VCFSE workers, and what is needed to develop more sustainable and culturally responsive support. It sets out a series of clear recommendations for VAS and other infrastructure organisations, funders and commissioners, VCFSE organisations and the wider sector working towards strengthening worker wellbeing.
